Do's and Dont's

Do's for YOU!

1. MEET with the prospective group that you are considering inviting into your home, prior to any investigation. If you are not comfortable with them, contact another group.

2. ASK questions.  There is no such thing as a stupid question.  If you have a concern or are unsure about something, ask!  Again, if you are not comfortable with the groups answers, contact another group.

3. BE willing to accept what the group may, or may not, be able to document during an investigation.

4.  BE honest with the group.  There is no need to "downplay", or "stretch the truth", about the situation.

5. TRY to obtain information about the past history, and owner(s) of your property.  It may help ease your concerns and help you to understand at least some of what you may be experiencing.  If you do not wish to do this on your own, groups should be willing to try to help you find out this information.

6. CONTACT a reputable group if the experiences you are having, are causing you fear, or annoyances in your life.

Dont's for YOU!

1.  BE FOOLED by all the "evidence".  Whether it be from your home/business, or pictures from somewhere else.  With all the pictures floating around on the internet of "orbs" and "vortexes", many are fooled.  Both of these anomolies are very easily reproduced, and therefore, CANNOT be considered as "evidence".

2. TRY to make contact with any energy yourself, by using a Ouija Board.  If a group is invited to your home and has one, please turn them away!

3. BURN candles or incense, sprinkle deodorizer on your carpet, or otherwise get different smells into the air prior to having an investigation done.  On the same token, Investigators should not come to your home smelling of aftershave, perfume, etc.  Scent can sometimes be a good indicator of an energy within the home / business.

4. BE taken in by everything that you see on the TV.  Remember, TV is for entertainment.

P.O.R.T.

What WE do and dont do!

1. DO NOT investigate in cemetaries.  It is not productive, and it is disrespectful.

2. DO NOT go out chasing urban legends.  Almost every town, county, etc., has a similar story about a local bridge, road, or other area, where blinking your vehicles lights, summons a "Ghost".

3. DO NOT conduct seances, or try to make "contact" via use of ouija boards, candles, crystal balls, and such.

4. DO NOT attempt to "exorcise" or otherwise, rid you home or business of any type of energy that may or may not be present.

5. DO NOT use gadgets, meters, etc., where blinking lights are supposed to be "signs" of an energy or activity.

6. DO be completely honest and confidential with any person(s) whom we assist, or conduct an investigation for.

7. DO try to be understanding and respectful toward your situation.  We understand that the unknown does scare some people, and that they are looking for help, not ridicule.

8. DO encourage anyone with an interest in this field, to become involved, and learn about what may, and may not, be evidence or "proof" of a haunting or activity, and how to go about obtaining it.
